Chief of General Staff Meets with KFOR Commander

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has received today KFOR Commander Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia with whom he discussed the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija.

This has been a regular high-level meeting conducted for the purpose of maintaining direct communication channels and making possible for an efficient cooperation of the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR on developing a safe and secure environment in Kosovo and Metohija and along the administrative line.

The discussion at the meeting has also covered joint activities undertaken in order to monitor continuously the situation on the ground and provide efficient response to potential attempts at threatening the security of non-Albanian population primarily.

During the discussion, it has been pointed out how important it is to have contacts at all levels between the Serbian Armed Forces and international forces in our southern province, which are obliged, in accordance with UNSC Resolution 1244, as General Mojsilović has stressed this time as well, to protect the Serbs and Serbian national, cultural, historical and religious heritage in the area of Kosovo and Metohija.
