Concert of Guard Representative Orchestra and Mokranjac Musical School

In the SAF Club in Belgrade, tonight, as part of civil-military cooperation, the Guard Representative Orchestra gave a concert together with the Mokranjac Musical School. For the first time in two centuries of existence, these institutions have performed together. The orchestra, which has 60 musicians, led by conductor, captain Aleksandar Đurov, head of the Guard Representative Orchestra.

In the SAF Club in Belgrade, tonight, as part of civil-military cooperation, the Guard Representative Orchestra gave a concert together with the Mokranjac Musical School. For the first time in two centuries of existence, these institutions have performed together.

The orchestra, which has 60 musicians, led by conductor, captain Aleksandar Đurov, head of the Guard Representative Orchestra. The concert began with the national anthem, followed by Dvorak, Bizet, Strauss and other composers, and in the end they played "March on the Drina" by Stanislav Binički .

In the audience were the Director of the Inspectorate of Defence Major General Goran Radovanovic, Commander of the Guard, Brigadier General Milomir Todorovic, as well as representatives of the Ministries of Defense and Education and the Serbian Armed Forces.

With these concerts the Mokranjac Musical School begins the celebration of the Great Jubilee — a hundred years after the death of the founder Stevan Stojanovic Mokranjac, as well as 115 years of existence.
