Minister Rodic visits 98th Air Force Brigade and Raska garrison

As part of the regular activities of inspection of the units of the Serbian Armed Forces, Nebojsa Rodic, Minister of Defence in the caretaker government, have visited today the 98th Air Force Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces and Raska garrison.

During the inspection of the units within the composition of the Brigade at the Morava airport, Minister Rodic met with Lieutenant Colonel Dejan Vasiljevic, Deputy Commander of the 98th Air Force Brigade, and his associates. At the meeting, they talked about the working conditions, the training of the members of the Brigade, as well as key problems in the work and priorities for the period to come. After the meeting, Minister of Defence inspected the workshop block of military-civilian part of the Morava airport.

At the Raska garrison, Minister Rodic visited the Military Club and the 21st Infantry Battalion of the 2nd Army Brigade at the "Stefan Nemanja" barracks. In the talks with Lieutenant Colonel Djordje Belic, Battalion Commander, Minister Rodic was briefed about the main tasks and activities of this unit, which was declared the best Army unit in 2013 by the order of the Army Commander. They also talked about the activities of the unit related to the participation of the members of the Serbian Armed Forces in peacekeeping missions. The unit from the composition of this battalion, which is in the second stage of preparations, will be engaged in the coming period in regular rotations in the United Nations multinational operation UNIFIL in Lebanon.
