The construction of the pipeline from the Susicko vrelo water spring, aimed at solving the problem of water supply in the city of Uzice is going as planned with the members of SAF being engaged for 12th consecutive day. Engineers are working at full capacity on the rough mountainous terrain , with the involvement of heavy machinery . These worthy soldiers have been visited today as the previous weekend by Defence Minister Nebojsa Rodic , Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Diković , State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic and commander of the Second Brigade , Brigadier General Marinko Pavlovic .

They visited all the routes where pipelines were being built , about 1.5 kilometers long , where by the joint efforts of the military and the Uzice based company “Jedinstvo” the pipes have been completely set. The visitors could see the requirements of the task, the quality of the work and made sure that the deadlines were going to be met. While visiting the site along the rivers Susica and Djetinja the visitors were informed by the commander of the military working group Major Slavko Prodanovic .

Minister Rodic pointed out that they were informed with the work which is going as planned.

- We expect the water run through pipelines at the specified time . This will be followed by further activities in Uzice purification water system . I point out that all military personnel engaged in this task are demonstrating the highest possible degree of personal engagement in this difficult terrain that lasts 24/7 as minister remarked.

Army of Serbia is , in his words has accepted an obligation to the citizens of Uzice to build a proper road infrastructure .

- There will be an access road and a communication link from the source to the factory Sušičko hot water . Thus, the new water source will be more accessible , especially for the sake of water quality control in order to prevent any further accidents from happening in Uzice again - said Minister Rodic.

Commander of the workgroup Major Prodanovic said that the army has since Christmas , worked tirelessly to prepare the pipes work and set up pipelines .

- Our first unit broke the track about 1,500 meters long and 10 to 15 feet wide. Now that workers "Jedinstvo" set the pipeline , our machines are employed to put soil back. In addition to making access roads and arrange the riverbed of Đetinja where we made two smaller dams this project is very valuable and an excellent experience for both officers and soldiers , however we are especially motivated knowing that this means a lot to people of the Uzice region - as major Slavko Prodanovic highlights.
