Analysis of Operational Capabilities of the AF and AD for 2017

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and SAF Chief of General Staff General Ljubiša Diković attended the analysis of operational capabilities of the Air Force and Air Defence in 2017.

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković with their associates attended the analysis of operational capabilities of the Air Force and Air Defence in 2017 that was held today in the Air Force Club in Zemun.
 
Apart from the members of Air Force and Air Defence Command, unit’s commanders and heads of establishments, the analysis involved the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces and Commanders of the Army, Training Command and the Guard. The analysis dealt with the realisation of the most significant tasks from the previous year and the conditions in which the tasks were conducted with particular reference to material, financial and infrastructural problems.
 
The Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Major General Ranko Živak, concluding the analysis and adding the guidelines for the work in 2018, pointed to the significance of the procurement of new aircraft in 2017 and need to procure modern AD missile systems in the years to come.
 
Speaking to the participants of the analysis, General Ljubiša Diković underlined the most important results of the Air Force in the previous year, particularly drawing the attention to the participation in live firing in the air space of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces looked back on the current procurement for the Air Force and Air Defence of new aircraft and highlighted the obligation to invest in every member of this arm of the Serbian Armed Forces, stressing the obligation to continue the training of the pilots.
