Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has paid an official visit to the French Republic during which he had separate meetings with its Defence Minister and Chief of the Defence Staff, visiting also several components of the French Armed Forces.

The two-day visit has concluded today with a tour of the Mont-de-Marsan Air Base (BA 118), where the Serbian Armed Forces delegation was presented with the unit’s missions and tasks, lessons learned from the operational use of the “Rafale” multi-purpose combat aircraft and some of the capabilities of the French Medical Service.

In addition, the Serbian delegation was shown the characteristics of the “Rafale” plane, maintenance and pilot training facilities, as well as reaction of a fighter aviation duty unit armed with this type of aircraft, with a pair of planes taking off.

Outlining the results of the visit, General Mojsilović underscored his satisfaction with the open and constructive talks he had with French top officials, expressing his belief that French MOD, highly appreciating the defence cooperation with Serbia and efforts made by our state to preserve peace and stability in the Western Balkan region, will give full contribution to further strengthening of not only the military-to-military cooperation of Serbia and France but also the military-economic one.
