Completion of International CIMIC Course

The International CIMIC Course, organized by the CIMIC Department (J-9) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, has been concluded today with certificate presentation at "Car Lazar" Barracks, Kruševac.

During the advancement program which lasted for two weeks, the course participants mastered theoretical contents related to the activities of civilian organizations in UN and EU areas of operation and received practical training for working on different positions in CIMIC teams and units.

The course was attended by officers and NCOs from the Serbian Armed Forces and armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, USA, Netherlands and Montenegro, as well as representatives of civilian institutions from the Republic of Serbia. 

The training was delivered by a combined team of instructors from the SAF and armed forces of Italy, USA and Netherlands, as well as visiting lecturers from the MOI Sector for Emergency Management, Commissariat for Refugees and Migrations and the Red Cross of Serbia. 

Successful execution of this international advancement program increased the competences of SAF officers and NCOs involved in CIMIC affairs, as well as bilateral cooperation with partner states’ armed forces.
