Members of Cobras at Special Force Competition in Dubai

Members of the Special-Purpose MP Detachment “Cobras” are taking part in the special police units’ competition, held in the United Arab Emirates from 03 to 07 February.
The competition is organized by the Dubai Police and is a unique platform for demonstrating the skills of elite police units, exchanging ideas and enhancing cooperation and mutual respect.
This year, 73 teams from special police and MP units have taken part, and in addition to “Cobras”, teams of the Gendarmerie and Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Ministry of the Interior are also involved in the contest.
The teams compete in five events designed to test competitors’ mental alertness and physical endurance to the limit.
The program includes carrying out tactical police tasks while shooting from different weapons, rescuing hostages and overcoming obstacles on a specially built training ground. Achieving success depends on excellent firearms skills, quick thinking, excellent team communication and high stress resistance.
