Today, the Training Command's Centers in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac have received soldiers of the “September 2023” intake for voluntary military service. In the next six months they will be trained for military occupational specialties of the branches and services of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Upon arrival at the barracks, the soldiers had mandatory examinations, were assigned weapons and equipment and were then posted to units, where the commanders informed them of their rights, obligations and tasks during military service.

In the next month and a half, they will be trained at the Basic Training Centers to handle personal weapons, undertake basic tactical actions and procedures in battle, perform guard duties and improve their physical ability.

Afterwards, they will receive individual specialist training for branch/service specific military duties, in order to spend the second period of military service in the SAF units for collective training.

Soldiers can apply for professional military career while still on their military service, after which they will go through the prescribed procedure and meet the requirements to join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces.
