Members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade had a remarkable performance in an international competition of special military and police units, held in Kuwait between 18 and 22 February.

The competition involved police anti-terrorist teams and tactical hostage rescue units, as well as military special operations teams.

During five days of competition, the teams competed in seven events tailored to real situations that special force members could encounter during counter-terrorist operations, demonstrating at the same time the competitors’ exceptional psychophysical endurance, teamwork and supreme tactical and firearms skills.

This was the first time that members of the Serbian Armed Forces had participated in a prestigious sporting event organized by the Kuwaiti police. This tournament is not only a sports competition and demonstration of skills; moreover, it aims to establish and improve the cooperation of elite police and military units and exchange of ideas and experiences in countering terrorism and dealing with hostage situations.
