At the locations where units of the 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade armed with the “Neva M1T” missile systems are deployed, service personnel are undergoing training in handling, combat use and basic technical maintenance of the system.

The goal is to improve the ability to engage with the permanently deployed forces for control and protection of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia and in the execution of defensive counter-air operations, focusing on practical training of officers and professional soldiers recently appointed to the unit.

In line with the training program, all contents have been covered concerning the tactics of use and maintenance of the system, with an emphasis on the preparation and execution of firing pursuant to the prescribed standards and norms.

The implementation of this training, which takes place in the unit on a daily basis, while monitoring and evaluating the work of the crews, ensures a high ability to engage with the air defense system together with other SAF forces, i.e. in the anti-aircraft defense of forces, important facilities and areas in case of aerial attacks.

The 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade, a backbone of the air defense system’s firepower, is armed with a wide variety of anti-aircraft systems, ranging from the modern “FK-3” and “Pantsirs” to the modernized “Neva” and “Kub” systems, their integration and coordinated action being extremely important for effective control and protection of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
