Tour of Air Defense Duty Unit on New Year’s Eve

Accompanied by Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović and Air Force and Air Defense Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević has visited members of the duty unit of the 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade in the Novi Sad Garrison this evening.

This unit is part of the permanently deployed forces for control and protection of sovereignty of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.

During the tour, Commander of the 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade Colonel Novica Gogić briefed the Minister of Defense on the tasks of the duty unit, after which the work of the unit while transferring forces to a higher level of readiness was presented.

Expressing his satisfaction with the readiness and what has been shown by the engaged members of the Serbian Armed Forces, Minister Vučević has pointed out that no matter what day it is or whether it is a holiday or not, members of the Serbian Armed Forces protect both land and air above our Serbia and for that we owe them special thanks.

On this occasion, he extended greetings on the upcoming holidays to all members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Ministry of Defense, and emphasized that even at the end of 2023, our Air Force and Air Defense are far stronger than they were at the beginning of this year, as well as the Serbian Armed Forces on the whole – which is something all citizens of Serbia and entire Serbia are proud of.
