Chief of Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Visiting Romania

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović is on a three-day visit to Romania, at the invitation of the Chief of Defense Staff of the Romanian Armed Forces General Daniel Petrescu.
The official part of the visit has begun today with a welcoming ceremony held for our delegation in front of the Ministry of National Defense in Bucharest, which was followed by a bilateral meeting between General Mojsilović and General Petrescu and the new Chief of Defense Staff of the Romanian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Gheorghiţă Vlad.
During the talks, it has been jointly stated that the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and Romanian Armed Forces is developed and comprehensive, characterized by constant improvement in quality and quantity, which contributes to developing capabilities of the two armed forces and strengthening further confidence and friendly relations. Both sides expressed their commitment to developing further bilateral military cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
On this occasion, General Mojsilović has pointed out that the Republic of Serbia highly appreciates the principled support of Romania regarding the issue of preserving the territorial integrity of our country and thanked for the professional engagement of the Romanian Contingent as part of the international forces in Kosovo and Metohija.
In the continuation of the visit, General Mojsilović will attend the handover ceremony between Chiefs of Defense Staff of the Romanian Armed Forces in front of the Carol I National Defense University in Bucharest, and on the last day of the visit he will attend a military parade on the occasion of marking Romania’s National Day.
Such high-level meetings give impetus to improving further defense cooperation and strengthening the overall interstate and good-neighborly relations between Serbia and Romania.
