New Class of Soldiers Began Their Military Service

Soldiers of the June 2024 intake were admitted to the Training Command Centers in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac for voluntary military service.
Upon arrival at the barracks, the soldiers had mandatory examinations, were assigned weapons and military equipment and then posted to the units, where the commanders informed them of their rights, obligations and future tasks.
In the next month and a half, they will train to handle personal weapons, perform basic tactical actions and procedures in combat as well as guard duty, improving at the same time their physical fitness.
Then they will receive individual specialist training, so that they could spend the last three months of their military service in the Serbian Armed Forces units on collective branch / service-specific training, actively involved in the execution of daily activities together with professional staff.
The interested ones could apply for admission to professional military service during their military service, after which they will go through the prescribed procedure and meet the requirements to join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces immediately after completing their military service.
