Visit of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Spain

At the invitation of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Spain, Admiral Teodoro Esteban López Calderón, is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

Admiral Calderón visited the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff today, where he talked with General Mojsilović about the current security situation in the region, bilateral military cooperation and opportunities for its improvement, mainly in the field of training and exercises, as well as experiences from engagement of the two militaries in the fight against Covid-19. 

It was assessed that the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Spain, within which the joint deployment in the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Lebanon was especially emphasized, was good and based on friendly relations between the two countries. It was pointed out that there was a significant potential for further improvement of bilateral military cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Spain will also be received by the Minister of Defense, Nebojša Stefanović PhD, and during his stay in Serbia, Admiral Calderón will also visit the 72nd Special Operations Brigade.
