General Rehearsal of the Joint Military/Police Exercise

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and General Ljubiša Diković, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, have attended today the general rehearsal of “Joint Strike 2018”.

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and General Ljubiša Diković, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, have attended today the general rehearsal of Joint Strike 2018, joint exercise of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of the Interior, which is to be held at the Serbian Warriors' Square and the Athletic Stadium on Wednesday, June, in the city of Kraljevo.
 
This is a training exercise involving members of the Special Brigade, Serbian Armed Forces military police units, the Military Police Battalion for Special Purposes “Cobras” and support forces from the Air Force brigades, in cooperation with members of the Gendarmerie, Special Anti-terrorist Unit (SAJ), Helicopter Unit, Police Brigade and Police Intervention Unit.
 
The demonstrative tactical exercise, within several working points, includes hostage rescue in buildings, motor vehicles and operations against terrorist groups in occupied buildings.
 
The aim of the exercise is joint training and practicing of Serbian Armed Forces rapid reaction forces and reaction units of the Ministry of Interior for planning, organising and carrying out counter-terrorism operations.
 
The exercise ends with a presentation of a SAF infantry rapid reaction echelon, equipped with arms and military equipment according to the 1500 Project, followed by military oath-taking ceremony for conscripts of June 2018 generation.
