Preparations of Combat Vehicle Drivers for Participation in Peacekeeping Operation

Training of members of the Serbian Armed Forces infantry company in operating combat vehicles is underway in the Army training centre, as part of preparation for deployment in UN peacekeeping operation in Lebanon.

The fifteen-day training on armored combat vehicles is organized for professional soldiers who will perform the duties of the driver of the MPV M-86 military police combat vehicle in this mission.

In this phase of training, drivers improve the techniques of driving combat vehicles in field conditions, having previously successfully mastered the theoretical part and passed the tests of the characteristics, special systems and devices of armored combat vehicles.

Precision driving on different terrain types, overcoming obstacles, driving at night and in difficult meteorological conditions, driving on a slope, repairing possible breakdowns and maintaining equipment, are part of the training for drivers in peacekeeping operations.

The soldiers will take exams and competence tests, after which they will apply and upgrade the acquired knowledge and skills in combat vehicle operating during the collective training of the infantry company planned for participation in the UN peacekeeping operation in Lebanon.
