Chief of General Staff Visiting Žiča Monastery

Accompanied by a delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has spent this Christmas morning at the Žiča Monastery near Kraljevo.

General Mojsilović has attended the Christmas liturgy, and then spoke with the Mother Superior of the monastery, Most Reverend Mother Jelena and the nuns.

Expressing gratitude for the shown hospitality, the Chief of the General Staff has pointed out that he is honored to have the opportunity to celebrate the most joyous Christian holiday - Christmas at the ancient monastery, where the first Serbian Archbishop Sava was enthroned and numerous Serbian kings crowned. He has wished good health to the nuns of the monastery and emphasized that their dedicated service and spiritual feats inspire us to continue to serve our homeland Serbia bravely and dedicatedly.

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff has been accompanied by Air Force and Air Defense Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, Heads of the Logistics Directorate (J-4) and Human Resources Directorate (J-1) of the General Staff, Major General Srđan Petković and Brigadier General Savo Iriškić, as well as Head of the Office of the Chief of the General Staff Colonel Slađan Hristov.
