Tuesday, 26.7.2022 | Training
In the 126th ASEWG Brigade units, forward air controllers (FAC) are currently receiving their routine training in guiding and directing fighter aviation as well as providing navigational aid to aircraft in case of emergency.

The activity is being executed in coordination with the fighter crews’ flight training, providing the optimum training level for all permanent combat-ready elements, in real time and conditions corresponding largely to a possible real situation.

Guiding the fighter aviation is a specific process of controlling and guiding the fighter aircraft, performed properly and successfully only by a well-trained FAC. In order to perform his tasks successfully, except knowledge and experience, a FAC needs air surveillance information obtained by the 126th ASEWG Brigade units, as well as proper functioning and adjustment of radar, computer and telecommunication assets.

Exceptional commitment and motivation of the 126th ASEWG Brigade members, as well as professional cooperation of the battle crews and interoperability of units are a guarantee of successful training which improves additionally the capability of Air Force and Air Defence units for control and protection of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
