Day of 1st Army Brigade

Today, a military ceremony has been held at the “Jugovićevo” Barracks in Novi Sad on the occasion of the Day of the 1st Army Brigade, marked in memory of 09 November 1918 when the Serbian army liberated Novi Sad.
On the occasion of the holiday, awards were presented to the best individuals and units subordinate to the Brigade and key achievements in building operational and functional capabilities were highlighted.
Summarizing the results achieved in the year behind us, it has been pointed out that the 1st Brigade successfully implemented all assigned tasks, that the equipment of the composition and skills of soldiers and officers were improved, and thus the overall combat readiness of the unit and the Serbian Armed Forces.
Today, members of the 1st Army Brigade have celebrated the Saint Patron Day of the unit - Holy Martyr Nestor. The Holy Bishop's Liturgy was performed on that occasion by the Vicar of Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, Bishop of Lipljan and Military Dositej.
