Visit by Chief of U. S. National Guard Bureau

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has met today with Chief of the U.S. National Guard Bureau General Daniel Hokanson who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

The discussion at the meeting covered the security situation in the world and region and achievements of bilateral military cooperation of Serbia and the USA, keeping the focus on the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ohio National Guard and possibilities of its improvement.

The interlocutors have agreed that the military cooperation of the two states, maintained largely under the State Partnership Program of Serbia and Ohio, is intensive and comprehensive, contributing to reaching interoperability and raising the level of operational capabilities of the armed forces. It has been concluded that the execution of joint activities should continue as well as the exploration of new forms of cooperation which yield specific and clearly visible results, primarily in the field of training, development of NCO Corps and cyber defense.

General Mojsilović has pointed out that the Serbian Armed Forces strive toward being a responsible and credible partner, committed to continuing cooperation in all the areas of mutual interest, not only with the National Guard but also with other components of the U.S. Armed Forces, expressing his belief that successful military cooperation will make huge contribution to developing the overall relations of Serbia and the USA.

The American delegation, composed also of Deputy to the Ohio TAG Brigadier General Stephen Rhoades, has been received today by Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić and Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević.
