Serbian Armed Forces Help Citizens in Countering Floods

By order of Supreme Commander and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, the Serbian Armed Forces are among the first ones to provide help to distressed population in fighting the floods caused by heavy precipitation and overflowing rivers in the Raška District.

Following their yesterday’s engagement in protecting the embankment from the flooding of the Jošanica River in Novi Pazar, members of the Serbian Armed Forces are today involved in reinforcing the embankment of the Ibar in Raška, as well as providing residents with drinking water in some parts of Novi Pazar.

In the affected areas, the Serbian Armed Forces are in the state of readiness, and if need be, at the request of local emergency staffs, prepared to provide the promptest response and help citizens in countering floods by employing personnel and machines.

This is another way for SAF members to show that they are always there to serve the citizens, not only when it comes to defending the country, but also when it comes to helping the most vulnerable.
