An exercise of the 21st Infantry Battalion of the 2nd Army Brigade was conducted at the Simulations Training Centre of the Serbian Armed Forces this week.

In this exercise, assisted by computer simulations, the unit's command was trained to organize and carry out combat operations of the infantry battalion in the offensive operation. During several days of activities, tactical actions and staff procedures in performing operations were practiced and evaluated, with daily analysis of the work of the command in the decision-making process at all levels of command.

Knowledge of the principles of use of units and means, interaction with units of the Air Force and Air Defence and the Mixed Artillery Brigade, as well as cooperation with the Gendarmerie, the Red Cross and other structures of the defence system and civilian environment were also evaluated.

Exercises assisted by computer simulations are an important form of practical training of the Serbian Armed Forces commands, as they provide an opportunity for staff officers and commands to be trained to plan and conduct combat operations with minimal expenditure of material resources.
