Specialist Training of Soldiers on Military Service

At the Army Training Center in Požarevac, soldiers on voluntary military service, Military Academy cadets, professional soldiers and officers are currently going through a period of intensive training.
Among various participants in the training activity, there are artillerymen and engineer soldiers from the September intake, who have been assigned to this Training Command unit after completing successfully basic training.
Artillerymen are being trained to operate self-propelled howitzers 122 mm 2S1 “Gvozdika” and gun howitzers 152 mm M84 “Nora”, while engineers are acquiring knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of operators of the heavy launch bridge TMM-3. The focus is on practicing combat actions and tactical procedures needed to fulfill efficiently military duties they were recruited for.
In the future, young artillerymen and engineers are expected to undergo more complex training contents in the field, then evaluation of their abilities to perform military tasks, with which the cycle of specialist training concludes.
The soldiers will spend the final three months of their military service on collective training in SAF artillery and engineer units, actively involved in the implementation of daily tasks.
