Ceremonial Beginning of Training for Soldiers on Military Service

At the SAF Basic Training Centres, located in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac, there has been a ceremony today to mark the beginning of training for the soldiers on military service since December 2022.
Previously, the soldiers went through the adjustment period, were issued weapons and equipment and were briefed on the basic rules governing the life and work in the Serbian Armed Forces in preparation for the period of intense training.
Over the next five weeks they will be undergoing basic firearms training, learning basic tactical actions and procedures undertaken in combat, mastering close-order drills, Service Regulations and raising their physical fitness.
As the first period concludes, the soldiers will be posted to specialized centres to be skilled in performing their branch / service-specific duties. Subsequently, they will attend collective training in SAF units until the end of their military service.
