On 24 December — Day of Air Force and Air Defence
"I congratulate all members of the Air Force and Air Defence on December 24 — Day of Service.
More than a century ago, Serbia was among the first five countries in the world to use aircraft in combat operations.
Over time, you have proudly nurtured and passed on the tradition of your ancestors, preserving the discipline, responsibility and stability that your members still unquestionably have, which is why units of your service are among the most representative and powerful stronghold of the Serbian Armed Forces.
At the recent demonstration of your units’ capabilities, we had the opportunity to see how much the country’s previous investment in modernizing the Serbian Armed Forces has paid off, and I assure you that we will continue with equal investments in the future, making our aviation even better and stronger.
I congratulate you on your holiday in the desire to continue achieving enviable results and contribute to the development of operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces, but also the security of all citizens of our country".
