Training of Soldiers for Non-commissioned Officer Duties

As part of the training of participants in the Basic Course for Non-Commissioned Officers of armored units in field conditions, targeting from the weapons of the M-84 tank, the M-80A infantry fighting vehicle and the BRDM-2 armored reconnaissance vehicle was successfully conducted at the Orešac range near Vršac.

This is an important segment of professional training of future non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces armored units, within which participants are trained for the implementation of complex fire and tactical actions and tasks. 

During the course so far, participants have acquired knowledge of leadership and command, training management, general tactics, and underwent physical and fire training at ranges, classrooms and training grounds, and immediately before going out on the field, the focus of training was on handling and maintenance of weapons, combat vehicles and devices.

Targeting from armored units’ weapons is conducted in the final part of the professional training of participants who are trained to command a tank crew and a mechanized unit and represent an excellent opportunity for future non-commissioned officers to gain confidence in the reliability and firepower of the combat equipment of this branch. 

Candidates who successfully complete the Basic Course for Non-Commissioned Officers will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and assigned to appropriate positions in the units of the Serbian Armed Forces.
