Minister Vulin and General Mojsilović visited Army Training Centre the Army Training Center at the “General Pavle Jurišić Šturm” barracks in Požarevac today.

Minister Vulin: In Braničevo district, response for reserve is 95 percent


- In the Braničevo district, where we are now, the armed forces are treated with due respect, and I can say with love. The Braničevo district holds supremacy when the response of the reserve is in question. The response of 95 percent of all who receive notification illustrates how much the armed forces are respected and appreciated here – said Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin. Minister Vulin, accompanied by Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović, visited the Army Training Center at the “General Pavle Jurišić Šturm” barracks in Požarevac today, where he also observed the training of soldiers on voluntary military service as part of  “Septembar 2018” generation.
 
- I would like Braničevo district to be an example to all other communities and show what response when the armed forces call should be like and how to respond when the homeland calls – said Minister Vulin.

In the next year, he added, we will do everything possible to secure more training, to have more reserve, and we have provided material resources for the year ahead to procure equipment and all the things necessary for our armed forces to be functional and successful, just as it should be as the guarantor of our freedom and our way of life.
 
Following the report of the Center Commander, Minister Vulin and General Mojsilović, visited the rooms and classrooms for training, and attended part of simulator training for shooting moving targets from M84 tank.
 
Commander of the Army Training Center in Požarevac, Colonel Milovan Vasić said that a part of the training of soldiers serving the military term as part of  “September 2018” generation was demonstrated by the unit for training the arms of infantry, engineering, armored units and military police.
 
- A part of the training was presented, integrating the training of all the specialties mentioned in order to prepare for the evaluation that is to take place towards the end of the second training period, which is currently in place – stressed Colonel Vasić.
 
During this year, an additional 10 million dinars were invested in the infrastructure of the Training Center, primarily in the facilities for the accommodation of soldiers, as well as the infrastructure of the training facilities.
