From August 14 to August 30, the team of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia is competing at the 47th World Military Orienteering Championships in Gussing, Austria.

Participation at this competition continues the tradition of the Serbian team competing at world military championships, which began in 2004 in the Netherlands. Against strong, world famous orienteering contestants, our competitors will strive to win the highest possible team scoring.

A total of 177 competitors from 28 teams of the armed forces around the world will compete in disciplines of middle distance (6.3 kilometers), long distance (14 kilometers) and relay race (6.4 kilometers).

Our country will be represented by: Lieutenant Colonel Dragan Todorov, chief of the delegation, Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Bukvic, technical manager, military employee Mladen Coric, the team’s coach and contestants Major Milovan Milic and captains Sinisa Savic, Dejan Popovic, Slobodan Ivkovic, Nenad Mitrovic, ZEljko Coric and Sasa Vojnovic.
