Summer Training of Army Scouts

Friday, 25.8.2023 | Training
This and last week, in the areas outside their peacetime location, members of the Army reconnaissance units conducted training for performing intended tasks in summer conditions.

This is the final segment of this training cycle during which the scouts practiced overcoming water obstacles with standard and improvised watercraft and carried out tactical missions in different environments, taking camouflage measures and concealing traces of movement.

They also practiced the use of modern assets and observation systems the reconnaissance units have been equipped with recently and whose introduction into use improved largely the capabilities for observation, collection and processing of intelligence.

Previously, the scouts have successfully mastered the training contents such as swimming, wrestling, precise knife-throwing and received training in survival and independent outdoor nutrition in the conditions of impeded supply to the unit.

Continuous training of reconnaissance units throughout the year in different terrain across the country and in all weather ensures a high level of skills and combat readiness of these SAF units to provide intelligence support to forces on operation.
