Tactical Civil-Military Cooperation Course

A five-day tactical course on civil-military cooperation is being delivered at "South" Base and "Borovac" Training Ground. SAF officers and NCOs take part in this course organized by the CIMIC Department (J-9) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff. 

Serbian Armed Forces personnel are being trained to complete functional assignments within the purview of the peacekeeping operations CIMIC team and to acquire a better understanding of contemporary challenges while working with civil organizations in international environment.

Theoretical part of the training aims to familiarize the participants with basic CIMIC issues in our country and worldwide, responsibilities of international governmental and non-governmental organizations providing aid to distressed population and SAF CIMIC officers’ experience from peacekeeping operations. The program also contains a practical segment conducted at "Borovac" Training Ground during which officers and NCOs execute various tactical scenarios practicing the established CIMIC teams’ working procedures.

The course participants will apply their knowledge to perform their every-day CIMIC duties in the Serbian Armed Forces and during their deployments in peacekeeping operations.
