Training of Combat Crews with Modern Artillery Means

Collective training of crews of the “Nora” 155 mm B-52 M-15 self-propelled gun-howitzers is underway at training grounds and exercise areas in the vicinity of Niš.

The training activity is carried out with the aim of improving further the skills of members of the Mixed Artillery Brigade’s battalion armed with the “Noras” in preparing and undertaking actions, using maximum potential of this modern combat asset.

While training, the crews are practicing gun emplacement, timely target detection, using automated fire control system and delivering indirect fire, in accordance with the set standards and norms for efficient action. The focus is on practical training of officers and professional soldiers for additional duties of crews of artillery assets, which ensures the interchangeability within the component and improves the resilience and combat resistance of the unit.

Continuous implementation of training and drills is crucial for sustaining high proficiency and combat readiness of the battalion, which, with the introduction of the “Nora” 155 mm gun howitzers into operational use, has significantly improved its ability to provide reliable, precise and powerful fire support to units of the Serbian Armed Forces while conducting operations.
