Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, accompanied by the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited today the personnel of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade in the "Rastko Nemanjić" barracks in Pančevo.

During the visit, the unit commander, Brigadier General Miroslav Talijan, presented to the Minister of Defence the tasks, goals, purpose and history of the brigade. A part of the unit's capabilities and the tactical-technical assembly of military equipment were shown.

After the visit, Minister Stefanović pointed out that there was no greater pride and honor for one soldier than to serve in such an elite unit.

— The path of this unit’s development shows that it has always been where it was most difficult, but also always where our people needed it and where Serbia asked them to. I see that today they still remain committed to that path, remain ready to defend their country at all times and, of course, to be at the service of their people with their knowledge and skills — said the Minister of Defence.

Minister of Defence pointed out that the common task was to further equip this unit so that personnel of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade have the best conditions for training, exercising and practicing their skills, but also in order to always respond to the call of the homeland where it is most needed.
