Regular Rotation of SAF Contingent in EUTM Somalia

Tuesday, 21.2.2023 | Multinational Operations
This week, in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, there has been regular rotation of SAF contingent deployed on European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM Somalia).

On this military operation, our contingent consists of a staff officer appointed as head of the mission’s medical service and five-member medical team responsible for medical support of training and primary care of international forces stationed at Mogadishu Airport.

Over the next six months, the appointed SAF doctors and medical technicians will be performing their tasks in a complex security environment, as did their predecessors. The previous team have performed successfully all the tasks related to preventative medicine and treatment of the injured and diseased, demonstrating in the best possible way the level of training and professionalism typical of our military medical service and SAF members in general.

The Serbian Armed Forces started participating in EUTM Somalia in 2012. So far, there have been in excess of 100 doctors and medical technician deployed in this African country within Mission HQ and medical team.
