Serbian Armed Forces Equipped with Another Transport Aircraft CASA C-295

Another CASA C-295 transport aircraft, procured for the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces, has arrived in the Republic of Serbia, which will be used for the transport of people and cargo, VIP and medical transport.

On this occasion, the Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević and the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović, visited the military airport "Pilot Colonel Milenko Pavlović" in Batajnica today.

On this occasion, the Minister of Defense pointed out the immeasurable significance of the procurement of these transport aircraft, which, with their capabilities and characteristics, contribute to strengthening the capabilities of our Air Force and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.

Speaking about the impressions of working with the first CASA C-295 aircraft, which was put into use in the Serbian Armed Forces in mid-October this year, the pilots and technical staff expressed their satisfaction that their unit was equipped with such modern aircraft.

The procurement of two CASA C-295 transport aircraft was contracted with Airbus Defense and Space from the Kingdom of Spain in February 2022.
