Yesterday, another class of soldiers was admitted for voluntary military service at SAF Basic Training Centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac.

As they arrived at the barracks, soldiers went through mandatory medical examinations, were issued weapons and equipment and appointed to their units, where their commanders informed them of their rights, obligations and tasks while on military service.

Over the next month and a half, at Basic Training Centres, they will be trained in handling personal weapons, undertaking basic tactical actions and procedures in combat and performing guard duties while building on their physical fitness.

Subsequently, they are expected to attend six-week individual specialized training and then spend the last three months of their military service in SAF units for collective training, playing active roles in the everyday life and work of the units.
