Rotation of SAF Contingent in EUTM RCA

Last week, there was a rotation of SAF Contingent deployed in European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM RCA).
Our contingent, that will be performing its tasks in the AO in the next six months, consists of a staff officer as Head of the Medical Service in the mission and six-member medical team in charge of providing treatment to the injured and ill members of the mission and training of the security forces of the Central African Republic.
They replaced their colleagues, doctors and medical technicians, who had completed successfully all their tasks in line with the mission's mandate during their six-month deployment, and demonstrated in the best way the professionalism and competence of the SAF medical service members.
The SAF started to participate in EUTM RCA in 2016. Through engagement in EU military operations, conducted under the CSDP, SAF members contribute not only to preserving global peace, but also to direct strengthening of our county's foreign political position.
