The Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Air Marshal Stewart Peach paid a visit to Serbia, during which he met with Serbian president, ministers of defence and foreign affairs and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.

Air Marshal Peach began his visit to our country by meeting with the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, with whom he discussed cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR, and joint activities implemented under the Partnership for Peace program.

Referring to the security situation in our southern province, General Mojsilović emphasized that KFOR, as the only legitimate armed formation in Kosovo and Metohija, is expected to be neutral and contribute to the overall stability in the province and, in particular, to the security of the non-Albanian population in the North.

The meeting reaffirmed the Republic of Serbia's determination as a military-neutral state and discussed the possibilities for further development of cooperation through the existing Partnership for Peace mechanisms and the Individual Partnership Action Plan.
