Rotation of Force Protection Platoon in the mission in Lebanon

The plane with 32 members of the force protection platoon of the First Army Brigade set off from the "Konstantin Veliki" Airport in Nis, yesterday, to join the multinational operation UNIFIL in Lebanon.

The send-off ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Zeljko Petrović, commander of the 1st Army Brigade, with his associates, Colonel Nikola Dejanović, Deputy Chief of the Peacekeeping Operations Centre, Joint Operations Command, and representatives of the Army Command.
 
The force protection platoon, under the command of Captain Goran Marjanović, will carry out the tasks of preserving peace within the Italian contingent over the next six months.

Commander of the 1st Army Brigade, Brigadier General Željko Petrović, wished the platoon members a safe journey and a successful implementation of tasks in the multinational operation.
 
Yesterday, in the afternoon, the plane with 33 members of the force protection platoon of the 4th Army Brigade landed at the Nis airport. After a six-month engagement in Lebanon they are to be replaced by the members of the 1st Army Brigade.
 
The welcome ceremony was attended by the commander of the 4th Army Brigade, Brigadier General Zoran Lubura, Deputy Chief of the Peacekeeping Operations Centre of the Joint Operations Command, Colonel Nikola Dejanović, representatives of the Army Command, family members of the platoon members, their relatives and friends.
